Dust is a combination of dirt, pollen, hair, dead skin, pet dander, dust mites, dust mite feces and a myriad of microbiological pollutants. Though there is no way to completely eliminate dust, you can control the dust with adequate filtering of the air through your floor vent filters. Choosing the right filter medium like our pleated electrostatic filter media enables maximum filtration without taxing your HVAC system. Our Merv 12 air filters remove up to 97.8% of pollen, pet dander, dust, mold spores, dust mites, tobacco smoke and other airborne particles, therefore helping to reduce the amount of dust while providing a healthier indoor environment.
Whether you are the parent of a young child or a grandparent, no one wants the younger ones in his family sitting in the midst of dirt, pollen, hair, dead skin, pet dander, dust mites, dust mite feces. Although it's impossible to completely rid your home of dust, our premium floor vent filters can control the dust as they are made with our cost effective, pleated electrostatic filter media. Our MERV 12 air filters remove up to 97.8% of the pollutants that invade your domain!
Nordic manufactures all of our floor vent filters using a MERV 12 air filter media that contains a permanent electrostatic charge causing dust to cling to the floor vent air filters using the same principle as static electricity. As a consequence, our air filters are far more effective and efficient than traditional pleated filters. Nordic does not endorse or sell the permanent metal electrostatic filters.
MERV 12 air filters used in heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are designed to collect a variety of airborne contaminants. Among the contaminants trapped by the air filter are living microorganisms, in a viable or static form, which under the right conditions can proliferate. These microorganisms include bacteria, fungi (mold and mildew), yeasts and algae, ranging in size from 0.1 to 3 microns.
Properly designed, high efficiency floor vent filters can greatly reduce airborne concentrations of these harmful respirable particulates. As a filter collects dust, however, more and more of these microorganisms become concentrated in the media matrix over time.
